Connor Dillon earns First Team All-NSIC honors

BURNSVILLE, Minn. -  After an impressive 2023-24 campaign, Connor Dillon has earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) First Team All-Conference honors as announced by the league office. 

Dillon, a junior from Peoria, Ill., helped propel Winona State to a 19-9 (14-8 NSIC) regular season record while leading the team in scoring with 21.5 ppg. Shooting at a clip of 49.0% from the field and 39.3% from beyond the arc, Dillon averaged 8.1 field goals made per game, including 2.8 three-pointers each outing. Starting in all 29 match-ups this season, Dillon also added 4.0 rebounds per outing, 2.9 assists per contest, and led the team in total steals (27). 

Along the way, Dillon notched two 40-point games, six 30-point efforts, and surpassed 20 points on 16 other occasions this season for head coach Todd Eisner.  Dillon set a career-high with 41 points against Concordia-St. Paul on Jan. 30 in a 78-67 Warrior win. 

Within the NSIC ranks, Dillon was second in the league in scoring (21.5), fifth in field goal percentage (49.0%), second in 3-pt field goals per game (2.8), 15th in assists (2.9), and fifth in minutes per game (34.9).

Dillon was a key factor for the Warriors on Wednesday night against Northern State in the Winona State opening round of the NSIC Tournament, contributing 25 points on 11-of-19 shooting in a 95-65 home-court victory. WSU will continue their postseason run on Sunday, March 3 at 1:30pm against Minnesota State University Moorhead in a quarterfinal match-up of the NSIC Tournament at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
