INDIANAPOLIS- The second NCAA Division II Central Regional men's basketball rankings have been released as the 2023-24 NSIC postseason heats up and Winona State University is one of seven Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) teams under consideration by the committee.
Winona State easily dispatched Northern State in the opening round of the 2024 NSIC Tournament on Wednesday, February 28, with the Warriors taming the Wolves 95-65.
Olumide Adelodun put together an impressive performance for
Todd Eisner's team, scoring 31 points and hauling in ten rebounds in the contest. WSU is ranked eighth in this week's NCAA regional poll.
In addition to Winona State (20-9 overall, 14-8 NSIC) other NSIC schools include No. 1 Minnesota State, No. 3 MSU Moorhead, No. 4 Minnesota Duluth, No. 6 Minot State, No. 7 Southwest Minnesota State and No. 9 Augustana. WSU appeared in the first rankings listed last week, which were alphabetical order by institution. The Feb. 28 release lists the competing squads as the committee reported.
On Sunday in Sioux Falls, #8 Winona State will take on #3 MSU Moorhead in a match-up of top region teams. The Warriors and Dragons will tip off at 1:30 p.m. in the Sanford Pentagon. To purchase tickets for all NSIC Tournament contests, head to
