WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University softball team will welcome Augustana University in an NSIC doubleheader on Saturday, April 20 on the front half of a four-game Warrior home stand. WSU and Augie will face off at 1 p.m. on Maynard Johnson Field.

WINONA STATE STORYLINES...
The Warriors are 28-16 overall and 12-6 in the NSIC.
WSU is coming off a midweek split at Minneosta State, losing a tight contest 2-1 in the opener but shutting out the Mavericks 4-0 in the nightcap.

Greg Jones reached the 950-win plateau recently against Minnesota State Moorhead.
Abbie Hlas leads the Warriors in batting average (.401), walks (18), runs (39), and on-base percentage (.468)
Hlas broke Winona State Softball career doubles record earning her 66th double in the Goldey-Beacom game, previously held by Sarah Carlson with 62.
Sam Keller leads Winona State in total at bats (154), hits (52), home runs (5), and slugging percentage (.604)
Both Keller and Hlas have 15 doubles and two triples this season.
Kiley Slaats leads the team with stolen bases (14-for-16) is third in hits (52).
Carly Engelhardt has collected 36 RBI's so far this season.

Head coach Gretta Melsted has been the head coach for the Vikings for 18 years.
Desi Cuevas leads the Vikings in batting average (.460), hits (75), and on base percentage (.508).
Tori Chute leads Augustana with 15 home runs and a slugging percentage of .753.
Ashton Dorman is the top Viking in terms of doubles with 16.
As a team, Augustana is 48-51 in stolen base attempts. Cuevas leads the Vikings with 14-of-15 swipes.
