WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State Univeristy Warriors drop a heartbreaker against MSU Moorhead in a 1-0 lose.
In the first half both the Warriors and the Dragons were back and forth in each others' offensive zones trying to score. Unfortunately, WSU was unable to find the back of the net in the first half. MSUM was able to find the back of the net 36 minutes into the first half by Blayke Hurley. The Warriors were able to collect four shots with all four of them landing on goal in the first half.
Going into the second half, Winona State came out strong and was very dominate in their offensive zone firing off nine shots in the second half. Both the Warriors and the Dragons were unable to net any goals in the heart breaking finish for the Warriors, who collected a total of 13 shots and nine of those being on goal. Winona State Univeristy Warriors look to take on Northern State University on Sunday, September 29 at 1 p.m. at Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium to round out their second home NSIC weekend.
