YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Winona State University gymnastics team made the trip out the Eastern Michigan Univeristy, where the Warriors competed against Ball State, Eastern Michigan, and Northern Illinois University.
The Warriors finished with a team score of 189.450, taking fourth overall, while Eastern Michigan took top honors with a team score of 195.125. Ball State took second with a collective score of 195.000 and NIU took third with a score of 193.275.
On the vault,
Kennedy O'Connor earned a score of 9.700, which had her tied for seventh place. On the bars,
Jessica Miley led the way for the Warriors with a score of 9.700 and
Ella Denno just behind Miley with a score of 9.675. Going on to the beam,
Bryce Stoltz led the charge for Winona State earning herself of 9.725 and following right behind Stoltz,
Kaelyn Duman collecting a score of 9.550. Rounding out the individual events on floor, where
Taylor Magierka scored a 9.725 to lead WSU followed up closely by
Gabby Kraft, who also earned a score of 9.725. Rounding out the meet for Winona State, Miley earned a score of 37.600 in the all-around category.
For the Warriors, their team vault score of 47.575, team bars score of 47.275, team floor score of 48.200, and total team score of 189.450 all found their way into the top-10 scores in Winona State University gymnastics history.
