WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State men's basketball team is set to host the University of Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State University on Friday, January 10th at 7:30pm and Saturday, January 11th at 5:30pm. 

Winona State,11-4 overall and 6-3 in NSIC play, is receiving votes in the most recent NABC Coaches Poll after defeating the University of Mary and going into three overtimes against #5 Minot State University. 

Winona State University is hosting their Winter Game Day Experience from 3pm to 6pm inside McCown Gymnasium during the game on Saturday against Bemidji State. This family-friendly event will feature vendors, games and giveaways for all ages – with special Winona State employee incentives and giveaways. Win additional prizes by helping us stock the Warrior Cupboard as part of Hunger Action Day.  All employees are FREE with their Winona State ID.

• The Warriors are 11-4 so far this season and 6-3 in the NSIC. 
• Winona State is third in the conference in opponent field goal percentage, holding teams to 41.7% on the season. 
• This is the beginning of a four game homestand for WSU. 
• Isaiah Thompson hauls in 9.6 rebounds per game, good for second in the NSIC. 
• Thompson has 963 career points, just 37 away from eclipsing 1,000 career points between Colorado State-Pueblo, Fort Lewis, and Winona State.
• Luke Haertle is averaging 18.5 points per game, putting him third in the NSIC. 
• Winona State is first in the NSIC from the free throw line shooting 77.5% on the year.
• Winona State shoots 77.5% from the charity stripe, best in the NSIC and cracking the top-20 in the nation.

Minnesota Crookston Notes: 

• UMC holds a 3-11 record on the year, 2-6 in the NSIC. 
• Golden Eagle head coach Bryan Beamish enters his third season at the helm of the UMC squad. 
• As a team Minnesota Crookston is shooting 41.4% from the floor and 32.7% from three-point range. 
• Grant Reid leads UMC in scoring at 14.9 points per game. 
• Leading the Golden Eagles in rebounding is Jordan Mitchell at 7.0 per game. 

Bemidji State Notes: 

• Bemidji State holds a 6-8 record overall and 3-5 in the NSIC. 
• Mike Boschee enters his 12th season as head coach of the Beavers. 
• John Sutherland leads Bemidji State in scoring at 12.5 points per game 
• Averaging 8.0 rebounds per game, Tate Olson leads BSU in rebounding. 
• The Beavers most recently faced off against Augustana, dropping the contest 98-66.
