WINONA, Minn. – A dynamic Warrior offense strikes early and often, outscoring the Dragons 5-1 to earn a second NSIC victory over the weekend.
The Warrior offense swarmed the Dragon defense all game tallying two goals in the first half and three in the second. Today's win pushes the Warriors to 5-2-3 on the year and 4-2-2 in NSIC play.
How it Happened:
An early offensive push by the Warriors was led by
Madison Barnick who delivered the first goal of the match at the 14-minute mark. She was quickly followed by Madison Watts who scored at the 16-minute mark. The Warrior offense was relentless paired with a strong back line throughout the first half.
Kyleigh Jannisch delivered back-to-back goals at the 50- and 58-minute marks. MSUM had no response for the Warrior offense until the 72
nd minute of the contest where they scored their first and only goal of the match. That goal was swiftly met with another goal from Madison Watts, her second of the game, taking the Warriors to a 5-1 victory.
