WINONA, Minn. – Warrior soccer drops a home contest against St. Cloud State University 1-0.
The Warrior defense held strong until the 70th minute of the match, when the Huskies found the back of the net. The Warriors were unable to answer offensively, moving to 5-3-3 on the season and 4-3-2 in NSIC play.
How it Happened:
The Warriors defense swarmed the Huskies all first half. The Huskie's defense limited any shots from the Warrior offense in the first half. As the half progressed both teams were trading drives up and down the field.
The second half was followed up with a looser Huskie's defense allowing the Warriors 6 shots and 1 shot on goal. However, the Huskie's defense was able to lock down any drives by the Warriors. The Huskies goal came late in the second half at the 70 minute-mark. The Warrior offense provided pressure down the stretch, but it was unsuccessful.
