WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State women's volleyball team hits the road this weekend, beginning with a matchup at Sioux Falls, followed by a Saturday contest against #17 Southwest Minnesota State.
The Warriors continue the large NSIC conference play stretch on Friday, October 10th at Sioux Falls with first serve set for 6:00pm. WSU will then travel to #17 Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday, October 11th for a 2:00 weekend finale.
Winona State Notes:
- Head Coach Kristine Pelky continues her inaugural season successes, starting 5-2 in NSIC play and 10-5 overall.
- Winona State leads the NSIC in average blocks with 2.40 blocks/set.
- Kenna Kornely leads the NSIC in total kills with 220 while averaging 4.00 kills/set.
- Gianna Vollrath leads the NSIC in total blocks with 72 and averages 1.26 blocks/set.
- Ashlyn Steding led the Warriors in assists with 326 while averaging 5.72 assists/set.
- Anna Hennessy is seventh in the NSIC digs/set with 4.11 and 234 total.

- Head Coach Dan Mathews enters his fifth year with Sioux Falls and looks to bounce back after a 0-2 road trip last weekend.
- Sioux Falls is top three in the NSIC for blocks with an average of 2.09 blocks/set.
- Ella Walker is top four in the NSIC for hitting percentage with 0.409 over the season.
- Maci Lerseth leads USF in digs with 195 total and an average of 3.48 digs/set.
