WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University gymnastics team will make their way to Oshkosh, Wis. to compete in their final regular season meet against UW-Oshkosh, UW-La Crosse, and Greenville on Thursday, February 27 with march-in set for 6 p.m.
The Warriors are coming off of a hard fought battle at UW-Stout where they competed against the Blue Devels and the UW-Oshkosh Titans. In that triangular meet
Kennedy O'Connor didn't only get first place, but broke the all-time individual score with score of 9.825 and helped write the team vault score into the record book for the third time this season with a score of 48.425. Also on the vault
Gabby Kraft and
Jessica Miley tied for third place with a score of 9.725. On the bars,
Kaylee Bateman placed sixth with a score of 9.700. Kraft took fourth on the beam with a score of 9.600 as well and tying for sixth on the floor with a score of 9.600. The Winona State gymnastics team wrote their name down in the record book again with their overall team score of 189.900, which is the fourth best team score in program history. The Warriors look to have O'Connor, Miley, Kraft and Bateman along side the rest of the Winona State gymnasts in their regular season finale against the Titans, Eagles and Panthers.
The Winona State University gymnastics team will hit the road to Oshkosh, Wis. for their last regular season meet hosted by OW-Oshkosh on Thursday, February 27 with a start time of 6 p.m. The Warriors will then have the WIAC Championships on Saturday, March 8 in La Crosse, Wis.
