WSU SOFTBALL HAS FIVE NAMED CSC ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT

WINONA, Minn. – Five Winona State softball student-athletes were named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
Logan Anderson, Jayda Berg, Bryn Elsenpeter, Kiley Slaats, and Alyssa Woelfel each earned the honor after success in the classroom and on the field this year.
 
Anderson, a senior from Ham Lake, Minn., led the Warriors behind the plate and started in 55 games this season. As WSU's main backstop, Anderson all catchers in the NSIC with a .997 fielding percentage this season while holding a .837 OPS with 15 doubles.
 
Berg, a sophomore from Coon Valley, Wis., led all of NCAA Division II with just 0.26 walks per seven innings after throwing six walks in 160.1 innings across 33 appearances. Berg tallied a 20-7 record and added a pair of no-hitters on the season.
 
Elsenpeter, a junior from Maple Lake, Minn., hit .320 on the season with 13 doubles and nine home runs and a 1.054 OPS in her first season with the Warriors. Elsenpeter was named to the NSIC All-Tournament team after leading the Warriors to the NSIC Tournament championship game.
 
Slaats, a sophomore from Sussex, Wis., played in all 56 games for WSU this season and tallied 166 at-bats while hitting .307. Slaats was stellar in the outfield, committing just one error throughout the season for a .980 fielding percentage.
 
Woelfel, a sophomore from New Holstein, Wis., crushed 10 home runs and tallied 29 RBIs while hitting .315 on the season. Woelfel led the Warriors in sacrifice flies and stolen bases while appearing in 54 games and making 53 starts.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
