BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Winona State softball student-athlete
Bryn Elsenpeter earned her second NSIC Player of the Week honor after leading WSU to a 4-0 record this weekend.
Elsenpeter, a senior infielder from Maple Lake, Minn., hit .643 (9-14) over the weekend with two home runs and a double. Elsenpeter drove in 11 runs and scored six herself while recording 10 putouts and five assists in the field defensively. On Sunday's doubleheader against Minot State, Elsenpeter went 4-4 in game one and 2-3 in the second game to lead the Warrior offense in the sweep.
Winona State is 29-4 (8-0 NSIC) this season and will travel to Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls for a pair of doubleheaders this week.
