ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Winona State men's golf team began their three-day journey at the NCAA DII Central/Midwest Regional, competing in a field of 20 teams and over 100 different golfers, finishing round one with a team score of 304 (+20).
The Warriors started hot with three Winona State golfers carding birdies in the first three holes.
Peyton Coahran led WSU, carding two birdies on his way to a 73 (+2) finish in round one. True freshman
Tyler Gandrud was the next lowest round for the Warriors, scoring a 76 (+5), also carding two birdies on the day.
Diego Olano and
Luke Maas finished each carding a 77 (+6) on the day, and rounding out the Winona State men's golf team was
Logan Chouinard with a 78 (+7) on the day.
Winona State tees off for round two on Friday, May 9, at 12:30 pm at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri.
