WINONA, Minn. – Winona State University volleyball team will compete in the 2025 Hampton Inn Invitational at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside beginning on Friday, September 12th and finishing Saturday, September 13th.
WSU will play in four matches over the two days, facing off against Roosevelt University and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on day one. On the second, the Warriors will start Missouri S&T and finishing the invitational with McKendree University.
Winona State Notes:
- Head Coach Kristine Pelky received her first two career wins at the Wayne State Invitational last weekend in Detroit, Mich.
- Kenna Kornely is second in the NSIC for Kills/Set (4.63) and led the team with 74 kills.
- Ashlyn Steding finished the Wayne State Invitational top ten in the NSIC with 104 Assists and 6.50 Assists/set.
- Abigail Savatski, Gianna Vollrath, and Jayda Berg all earned top ten status' in the NSIC for Blocks/Set.
- Anna Hennessy ended the Wayne State Invitational top five in the NSIC for total digs and averaged 4.19 Digs/Set.
Roosevelt Notes:
- Roosevelt through four matches this season holds a 1-3 record after the UIS Invitational.
- Head Coach Nicasio Paquiz Jr. is entering his eighth season with the Lakers.
- Graduate Student, Alessia Isgro, leads the team in total Kills with 25 and an average of 2.08 Kills/Set.
Parkside Notes:
- Head Coach Leigh Barea is entering her seventh season with the Rangers.
- Parkside has started the 2025 season strong with a 3-0 record after their first weekend of matches.
- Junior, Sam Fisch, leads the team in total Blocks with 12 and 1.09 Blocks/Set.
Missouri S&T Notes:
- Senior, Annie Arand, leads the Miners with 62 total assists and 4.13 Assists/Set.
- Head Coach Jacguie Cason enters her second season with Missouri S&T.
- Missouri S&T finished their home tournament 1-3 after splitting day one.
McKendree Notes:
- McKendree looks to builds off of a 11-16 record in 2024.
- Senior, Destiny Gray, leads the Bearcats with 48 total digs and an average of 3.69 Digs/Set.
- Head Coach Miranda Rodriguez has entered her first season with McKendree.
