WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University women's volleyball team is set to host Northern State University and University of Jamestown on Friday, September 19th and Saturday, September 20th.
WSU will start NSIC play against the Northern State Wolves on Friday, September 19th at 6:00pm and will follow up against the NSIC's new addition, the Jamestown Jimmies, on Saturday at 4:00pm.
WSU is excited to announce all ticketing will be fully digital this year. All fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online before arriving at the venue.
Cash will not be accepted at the gate.
Winona State Notes:
- Head Coach Kristine Pelky has started her inaugural season strong with a record of 5-3 through 2 invitationals.
- Winona State leads the NSIC in total blocks with 74 and an average of 2.47/set.
- Kenna Kornely is top three in the NSIC in Kills with 128 total and an average of 4.27/set.
- Gianna Vollrath holds a top five spot in the NSIC for blocks with a total of 34 and an average of 1.13/set.
- The Warriors left the Hampton Inn Invitational with a strong finish of 3-1 overall, winning both of their matches on day two.
- Ashlyn Steding leads WSU with 192 total assists and an average of 6.40 assists/set.
- Anna Hennessy has 123 digs this season leading the team with an average of 4.10 digs/set.
- Kenna Kornely and Gianna Vollrath both were selected for the 2025 Hampton Inn Invitational All-Tournament Team.

- Northen State is ranked #15 in the AVCA polls this week.
- Head Coach Brent Aldrige looks to continue his hot start to the season after beginning 8-0.
- Sophomore, Linnea Nesheim leads the Wolves in Kills with 111 total and an average of 3.96/set.
- Graduate Student, Abby Brooks leads NSU in Blocks with 39 total and an average of 1.39/set.
Jamestown Notes:
- Head Coach Jon Hegerle has had a strong start to his sixteenth season leading the Jimmies to a 5-2 record.
- Jamestown is currently in ninth, slightly behind a four-way tie for fifth place in the NSIC conference standings.
- Senior Lily Bertsch leads the Jimmies in assists with 149 total and an average of 5.96/set.
- Junior, Momoka Minamiya leads UJ in digs with 103 total and an average of 4.12/set.
