BURNSVILLE, Minn. – After tallying seven tackles, two forced fumbles and two sacks in a 21-17 comeback victory over Bemidji State,
Conner Haggerty was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Haggerty was key to the Warriors comeback on the defensive side of the ball that saw the team hold Bemidji State scoreless in the last 39:37 of the game. Haggerty forced the game-sealing strip sack with 0:18 left on the clock to finish the Warriors comeback bid.
Winona State (1-1, 1-0 NSIC) is next in action on Saturday, Sept. 13 where they face off against Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, Minn.
