WINONA, Minn. - The Warrior gymnastics team gets ready to host UW-Stout in a dual meet on Friday, January 23rd at 6:00pm.
The WSU gymnastics team turns their attention to UW-Stout this week after a successful triangular against UW-Eau Claire and Gustavus Adolphus. The Warriors won the meet with a score of 190.625. The Warriors look to carry their momentum from their past three meets.
Friday's meet will be the "Parent's Night" to celebrate WSU parents.
WSU Athletics ticketing has moved to fully digital this year. All fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online before arriving at the venue.
Cash will not be accepted at the gate.
Winona State Notes:
- Gabby Kraft led the way on the vault with a 9.675, leading all gymnasts in the event against UW-Eau Claire and Gustavus.
- Kaylee Bateman tabbed another impressive routine on the bars, scoring a 9.675 to lead all gymnasts in the event, and stacking another high score on her year.
- Taylor Magierka scored a high of a 9.750 on her floor routine, with Frankie Jo MacAskill adding a 9.725, and Jessica Miley adding a 9.675 to round out the floor routine, creating a podium sweep for the Warriors.
- The Warriors scored 190.625 as a team, outscoring opponents by a margin of 1.975 points.
UW-Stout Notes:
- The Blue Devils scored 184.675 in their last meet, finishing fourth in a four team meet.
- Jessica Qualich led the floor with a 9.650 and again led the vault with a 9.700.
- Sarah lutz delivered the team's top routine on the bars with a 9.675.
- Jamie Beatty highlighted the beam rotation with a 9.725.
