WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State gymnastics team tallied two top scores in floor and beam and secured a team victory over WIAC opponent UW-Stout in their second home meet.
The Warriors outscored the Blue Devils 188.750 to 183.925 winning by a margin of 4.825 points.
The Warrior Vault squad was led by
Frankie Jo MacAskill with a 9.625.
Gabby Kraft followed with a 9.600.
Courtney Knutson added a 9.575.
Molly Amrhein and
Irene Kearney rounded out the Warrior vault squad with a 9.550 and a 9.525 respectively.
The Warrior Beam team was led by
Reagan Kelley with a 9.625.
Kaylee Bateman followed with an impressive 9.575.
Aspen Peters and
Harper Hamilton tacked on even more with their 9.450 and 9.250. The Beam team was rounded out by
Gabby Kraft's 8.900.
WSU's Bar squad was anchored by
Addison Ward's 9.525.
Irene Kearney's 9.375 was a welcome addition.
Harper Hamilton and
Ashley-Elizabeth Lynch added on with a 9.250 and a 9.100 respectively.
Ella Denno rounded out the Bar squad with an 8.800.
Frankie Jo MacAskill set the tone with the 9.825 on floor.
Taylor Magierka 9.775 and
Gabby Kraft tacked on with a 9.700.
Courtney Knutson added on a 9.500. The floor squad was rounded out by
Rachel Van Namen's 9.225.
Winona State is back in action next Sunday, February 1st at 3:00pm.
