OSHKOSH, Wis. - The WSU gymnastics team set the tone for the year by breaking the all time uneven bar record with a 48.200. This performance led the Warriors to a strong second place finish behind the UW-Oshkosh Titans.
On Vault, the Warriors put up a score of 47.000, led by a 9.550 from Taylor Magierka and followed by two strong performances from Gabby Kraft with a 9.525, and a 9.425 from Jessica Miley.
The record breaking uneven bar performance was led by a pair of 9.675's from Harper Hamilton and Jessica Miley along with strong routines from Kaylee Bateman, Irene Kearney, Addison Ward and Ella Denno.
The Beam squad contributed by scoring a 46.400 lead by Kaelyn Duman's 9.650 and Gabby Kraft's 9.600.
On the floor the Warriors scored a 47.975 with strong showings from Taylor Magierka with a 9.725 and Gabby Kraft with a 9.675. These incredible performances put the Warrior's at a score of 189.575, which broke into WSU All-Time Record Book. This is just the beginning for the WSU Gymnastics Team.
The Warriors will be back in action next week at Division 1 Airforce Academy as they travel to Colorado Springs to compete Friday, January 9th.
