MADISON, Wis. – After a strong start to the year, Winona State's
Kaelyn Duman earned herself a spot on the prestigious WIAC Gymnastics Athlete of the Week list.
Duman's standout out performance on beam earned her the award in the specialist category. Duman a junior from San Antonio, Texas, tied her personal best on beam this past weekend at the UW-Oshkosh Quadrangular on Saturday, January 3rd. Duman's 9.650 served as an anchor for the Warrior Beam squad. This paired with a record-breaking bars performance totaling 48.200 earned the Warriors a second-place finish behind the Titans in their first meet of the year.
The Warriors turn their attention to Division 1 opponent Air Force this week as they venture out to Colorado Springs, Colo. to compete in a meet on Friday, January 9th.
