COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Warrior gymnastics team continue a successful streak, finishing close behind NCAA DI opponent Air Force.
The WSU gymnastics team finished 4.700 points behind NCAA DI opponent Air Force. With a score of 194.750 to 190.050, the Warriors were just shy of a win.
The vault squad was led by
Frankie Jo MacAskill with a 9.750.
Jessica Miley followed closely with a 9.650. Both
Taylor Magierka and
Gabby Kraft added 9.600s for the squad, with Courtney Knut'on's 9.550 to round out the event.
The bars squad was led by
Kaylee Bateman with a commanding 9.800 to set the tone. She was further assisted by
Harper Hamilton's 9.675,
Jessica Miley's 9.600,
Irene Kearney's 9.250, and
Ella Denno's 8.850.
The beam squad was led by
Harper Hamilton's 9.575.
Gabby Kraft and
Kaelyn Duman assisted with their 9.500s. Aspen Peter's added a 9.400 to the tally. The squad was rounded out by
Frankie Jo MacAskill's 9.275.
The floor squad was led by a strong 9.800 from
Frankie Jo MacAskill.
Taylor Magierka added a 9.725 to the tally, with
Jessica Miley adding a solid 9.700.
Courtney Knutson added a 9.375 and
Lenee Dimkin rounded out the roster with an 8.900.
The Warriors are back in action next week as they kick off a home stint with UW-Eau Claire and Gustavus on Friday, January 16th.
