WINONA, Minn. — Winona State volleyball will first travel to Crookston, Minn. to face the Golden Eagles on Friday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. before heading to Moorhead, Minn. to battle the Minnesota State Moorhead.
The Warriors (2-13 overall, 1-8 NSIC) are looking to get back into the win column as they dropped both games this past weekend against Bemidji State and No.19 Minnesota Duluth. MSU Moorhead (10-8 overall, 3-6 NSIC) is also looking to get a win after losing four straight games. Minnesota Crookston (3-14 overall, 1-8 NSIC) has lost their last five games, only winning two sets in those contests.
Winona State Notes:
- Abby Ongna leads the Warriors with 192 kills.
- Hailee Peters has recorded a team leading 392 assists.
- Peters also leads the team in aces with 15 on the season.
- Maddie Brown controls the net with 34 blocks.
- Lily Shields leads all Warriors with 156 digs.
MSU Moorhead Notes:
- Raiah Mandell leads the Dragons with 191 kills.
- Madi Colby leads the team with 291 assists.
- Maci Martini has recorded 238 digs 27 aces to lead the Dragons.
- Leah Laqua has tallied 51 blocks this season.
Minnesota Crookston Notes:
- Madison Carsten leads the team with 166 kills and 164 digs.
- Ellery Ehresmann leads all Golden Eagles with 304 assists.
- Adrienne Venditto has recorded 21 aces.
- Lexi Scharold leads defensive efforts with 37 blocks.
