WINONA, Minn. – The Warrior gymnastics team hits the road to take on the Hamline University Pipers this Friday, February 20th at 6:30pm in Walker Fieldhouse.
The Warriors are coming off a successful senior night, where the team tabbed their highest team score of the season at 191.075.
Winona State Notes:
- The Warriors recorded their best team score of the year of 191.075 against UW-Oshkosh.
- The Warriors had impressive showing in all events against UW-Oshkosh, with every squad reaching a new place on the WSU all-time top tens respectively.
- Frankie Jo MacAskill and Irene Kearney scored 9.775s to lead the vault squad coming close behind the all-time WSU vault record, both setting new season highs on the vault.
- Senior Kaylee Bateman sits as the season leader on bars with a 9.800.
- Gabby Kraft's 9.775 on the beam is the season high for the Warriors.
- MacAskill's 9.8250 on floor is the season high for the Warriors.
- The Warriors shattered their uneven bars record this year with a combined team score of 48.200 put together by a team of Harper Hamilton, Jessica Miley, Bateman, Kearney, Addison Ward and Ella Denno.
Hamline University Notes:
- The Pipers sit in 18th place in DIII with an average team score of 178.850.
- Elena Bailey leads the vault with a 9.525.
- Carly Banta leads the Pipers on the bars with a season high of 9.275.
- Banat excels on the floor with a 9.700, and a 9.675 on the beam, she scores a 37.200 as an all-around.
