WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State gymnastics team readies to cross the Mississippi this Friday, February 27th to compete at the UW-La Crosse Triangular hosted by UW-La Crosse at the Mitchell Hall gymnasium.
The Warriors are coming off a winning weekend against the Hamline University Pipers, where they won with a team score of 190.450.
Winona State Notes:
- Winona State scored their season high against UW-Oshkosh on their Senior night dual.
- In a dual against Hamline University the Warriors topped the podiums in every event. Irene Kearney won the vault, Jessica Miley won the bars, Kaelyn Duman won the beam, and Gabby Kraft and Frankie Jo MacAskill tied to win the floor.
- MacAskill and Kearney still hold the season highs for the vault, with 9.775s.
- Kaylee Bateman leads the Warriors on the beam with a high score of 9.800.
- Kraft's 9.775 on the beam is still the leader for the season.
- MacAskill leads the floor for the season with a 9.825 on the floor.
UW-La Crosse Notes:
- UW-La Crosse is currently ranked second in Division III, with a team score of 192.200.
- Cobi Powell leads the Eagles with a 9.800 on the vault.
- Madalyn McCormick and Claire Robbins lead the Eagles on the bars with a 9.775.
- McCormick also leads the Eagles with a 9.850 on the beam.
- Paige Breckwoldt and Robbins are leaders on the floor both tabbing 9.775s.
UW-Eau Claire Notes:
- UW-Eau Claire ranks seventh in Division III, with a team score of 189.535.
- Ava Obermoller and Cadence Cordova lead the vault with 9.700s.
- Kinley Rose leads the bars with a 9.775.
- Hareet Gehlon leads the beam for the Blugolds with a score of 9.825.
