WINONA STATE ATHLETICS: THURSDAY, MARCH 12

| Box Score 3 WINONA, Minn. – Winona State Athletics Spring Break: Thursday, March 12th.
 
MEN'S GOLF
Winona State finished third at the Vegas Warrior Invitational in Henderson Nev. after a three-round total of 883 (+19). The Warriors shot rounds of 298 (+10), 293 (+5), and 292 (+4) to finish 19 strokes behind UBC Okanagan in first. Peyton Coahran tied for first individually after firing a 67 (-5) in the final round. Coahran recorded rounds of 70 and 73 on the first day to have a three-round total of 210 (-6).
 
Luke Maas finished in fifth, after going one-over par for the tournament with rounds of 70, 69, and 78. Logan Chouinard started off with rounds of 80 and 76, then a 71 to shoot +11 across the three rounds. Javier Ramos Casariego (+15) and Tyler Gandrud (+21) rounded out the WSU lineup. The Warriors had a "B" team also competing in the event, led by Max Jericho who finished 10th overall with a 220 (+4).
 
 
WOMEN'S GOLF
Winona State took third at the Vegas Warrior Invitation, firing a three-round total of 956 (+92) over the last two days. UBC Okanagan took first, running away from the field with a +55, 919. Kessa Mara was the top Warrior, tying for fifth with rounds of 76, 68, and 80 to finish with a 234 (+10).
 
Megan Young and Georgia Volley each earned top-15 finishes as Young shot a 239 (+23) after rounds of 79, 78, and 82. Volley carded rounds of 82, 82, and 76 to finish with a 240 (+24). Lindsey Lund was just a few strokes back, finishing 32-over par with a 248. Maeve McDougal rounded out the Warrior lineup with a 249 (+33).
 
 
WOMEN'S TENNIS
ONU (6) - WSU (1)

The Warriors rounded out their Spring Break trip with a 6-1 loss against Ohio Northern University. Winona State picked up a win at No. 1 doubles as Nikita Agrawal and Clara Thoemke took the match 6-3. ONU was able to win at second and third doubles to secure the doubles point.
 
In singles, Lainy Ristau rolled to a 6-3, 6-1 victory at the second spot in the lineup. Izabel Barr battled to a third set but fell short in the super tiebreaker at No. 4 singles for WSU.
