WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University gymnastics team set their all-time program record with a score of 191.925 at the 2026 WIAC Championships / NCGA West Regional.
The Warriors creaked into the record books on each event, tallying their second-best team floor score of all time with a 48.925, notching the sixth best beam (47.875) and bars (47.400) scores, and grabbing the eighth best vault score with a 48.025 to break last year's WIAC Championships team score by 0.025 points.
Beginning the meet on the bars,
Jessica Miley led the way as the anchor with a 9.625.
Harper Hamilton scored a 9.525 while
Ashley-Elizabeth Lynch and
Addison Ward each had a 9.425.
Winona State started out with three straight scores at 9.700 or higher on the beam, led by
Kaelyn Duman and Hamilton with 9.775 and
Aspen Peters with a 9.700.
WSU rotated over to the floor to notch their second-best floor score ever with all five scores at 9.675, led by
Frankie Jo MacAskill and
Gabby Kraft with 9.775 each to tie for second overall.
Taylor Magierka performed to a score of 9.725.
Ending on the vault,
Irene Kearney led the way with a 9.675. With the team record in sights, MacAskill anchored the vault for the Warriors and scored a 9.650 to push the Warriors to a score never seen before in program history.
Winona State earned fifth place at the championships, UW-Oshkosh earned team championships honors with a new DIII gymnastics record team score of 195.175.
