BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Winona State softball student-athlete
Alyssa Woelfel earned the NSIC Player of the Week award after leading Winona State to a 5-1 record this week.
Woelfel, a junior infield from New Holstein, Wis. hit .632 (12-for-19) over the week with four home runs and a double. Woelfel drove in nine runs and scored seven herself while recording an OPS of 2.012 and 25 total bases. Woelfel also went 5-for-6 against Augustana with two walks, three runs, four RBIs and two home runs. Woelfel garnered five multi-hit games out of the six played.
Winona State is 37-6 (16-2 NSIC) this season and will travel to Concordia-St. Paul on Friday, April 17th for a doubleheader against the Golden Bears.
