WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State softball team will now play Wayne State and Augustana on Friday and Saturday.

The Winona State softball team will now play Wayne State College on April 10th with first pitch at 1:00pm and game two scheduled for 3:00pm. To finish the weekend, WSU will face Augustana University on Saturday, April 11th with game times scheduled for 12:00pm and 2:00pm.

#23 Winona State Notes:

• Winona State is ranked No. 23 in the nation in the most recent NFCA Coaches' Poll and are atop the NSIC with an outstanding 11-1 record.
• The Warriors (33-6, 12-2 NSIC) lead the conference in batting average with .343, 241 runs, 355 hits, 224 RBIs, and .416 on-base percentage.
• Alyssa Woelfel leads the NSIC in runs scored with 39 while also being top six in hits with 45.
• Bryn Elsenpeter is in the top five in the NSIC in slugging percentage (.717), on-base plug slugging percentage (1.202), RBIs (36), and doubles (12).
• Lila McNeill finds herself in the top 10 in the conference for batting average (.385), on-base percentage (.474), hits (45), and doubles (12).
• Jayda Berg has the second-best record in the league sitting at 14-2, with Izzy Howe following closely behind with a record of 12-3.

Wayne State Notes:

• The Wildcats are currently 30-8 overall and 10-4 in conference play so for this season.
• Junior outfielder, Emilee Marth leads the WSC bats with an average of .414 and 38 RBIs.
• Sophomore pitcher, Kennadi Borngrebe leads the Wayne State pitching staff with an ERA of 1.47 and an overall record of 11-5.

Augustana Notes:

• The Vikings are currently 16-19 overall and 9-5 in conference play so far this season.
• Leading the bats for Augie is Kierra Lubovich, with an average of .438 and 36 RBIs this season.
• Senior pitcher, Helene Krage holds the best ERA for Augustana with 3.83 and a WHIP of 1.43.
