WINONA, Minn – The Winona State women's soccer team is back at home to take on Purdue Northwest on Sunday, September 6th at 11:00am.  

Last season, Winona State and Purdue Northwest met for a nonnconference matchup in a game that ended in a 0-0 draw.

Winona State Notes: 

• Winona State looks to bounce back after a season-opneing 4-1 loss against UW-Parkside.
• Jacey Sturek led the Warriors with 86 minutes played in the season opener.
• Abigail Rounds played 76 minutes in gaol while gathering 6 saves. 
• 20 different Warriors saw time on the pitch last week. 
• This will be WSU's final nonconference match of the season.

Purdue Northwest  

• Purdue Northwest is off to a 1-0-1 start to their 2026 season.
• Last week the Lions had 4 different players score a goal, all goals being assisted by different players.
• Mia Davis leads the Lions with 5 shots on goal.
• Senior Goalkeeper Meta Fischer had her first shutout of the season while notching 4 saves. 

Winona State opens NSIC league play on Friday, September 11th against the University of Jamestown.
