WINONA, Minn. --- The Winona State baseball team welcomed 8-year-old Easton Stambaugh to the program through Team IMPACT during a special signing ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 12, ahead of WSU's first home football game against Jamestown.
 
"Winona State Athletics is so excited to welcome Easton and his family to our Warrior family," Director of Athletics Jen Flowers said. "We're grateful to Team IMPACT for this opportunity and for their support. We look forward to watching the relationship between Warrior baseball and Easton flourish with this partnership."
 
Easton is a smart, sweet and competitive boy battling leukemia. He enjoys baking, watching shows such as "Is It Cake?" and making brownies with his sister and mom. Easton enjoys going to the movies, bowling and visiting Action City. He also loves playing video games on his Xbox and his Nintendo Switch.
 
"We look forward to joining Easton in his journey through Team IMPACT and are excited to have him in our program," Winona State head baseball coach Seth Wing said. "His love for baseball will give our players valuable perspective, and we will embrace every opportunity to compete and grow together at WSU. Baseball has always been and always will be a kid's game, and Easton will bring us so much joy by being involved in our program!"
