WINONA, Minn – The Winona State Volleyball team hits the road this weekend for two matches, traveling to Wayne, Neb., and Sioux Falls, S.D. to face Augustana.
 
The Warriors (2-6) will face No. 2 Wayne State (9-1) on Friday, Sept.18th at 6:00 p.m. and Augustana (7-3) on Saturday, Sept.19th at 5:00 p.m.
 
Winona State Notes:

• The Warriors opened their conference play 1-1, defeating Sioux Falls in three sets, but falling to No. 12 Southwest Minnesota State in four sets.
• Abby Ongna leads the team with 110 points on 100 kills.
• Hailee Peters has a total of 190 assists on the season.
• Ellie Bruns has served up nine aces to lead the Warriors.
• Lily Shields has the defense covered with 70 digs, averaging  2.41 digs/set.
• Maddie Brown leads the squad with 17 blocks.

 
Wayne State Notes:

• The Wildcats come into the matchup ranked second in the AVCA Coaches Poll.
• Delaney Miller leads the team with 104 kills, while Channatee Robles follows closely behind in second with 102.
• The Wildcats' defense is dominant with Mia Berg posting 30 blocks and Chloe Hanel with 28 blocks.
• Mattie Kamery has 19 aces on the season.
• Molly Romano has dished out an astonishing 324 assists.

 
Augustana Notes:

• The Vikings started their season 6-0, but have gone 1-3 in their last four games.
• Last time out, the Vikings defeated Minnesota State 3-1.
• Reagan Jansen leads the team with 117 kills,109 digs, and 14 aces.
• Maya Went leads defensive efforts with 34 blocks.
• Kiylah Franke has 311 assists, leading the team by over 200 assists.
• The Vikings are averaging 14.6 kills/set hitting .286 on the season.
