MARSHALL, Minn. --- The Winona State women's golf team earned a top-five finish, placing fifth as a team at the EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Warriors finished the two-round event with a team score of 645, finishing behind Chadron State (639) and ahead of host Southwest Minnesota State (651). Augustana won the event with a team score of 599.
 
Megan Young led the Warriors, placing 15th with a 14-over-par score across two rounds (80, 78). Taylor LeMire followed in a tie for 20th with rounds of 81 and 79 for a 16-over-par total, while Maeve McDougal finished just behind in a tie for 28th with rounds of 82 and 81 (+19).
 
Tara Eckes rounded out the Warriors' scoring lineup in a tie for 53rd with a 28-over-par score (92, 80). Kendyl Conrad competed in the Warriors' fifth spot, finishing in a tie for 42nd at 25-over par (84, 85).
