BRAINERD, Minn. – The Winona State women's golf team is in sixth place after the fall portion of the NSIC Championship held at Madden's on Gull Lake in Brainerd, Minnesota.
Senior Katya Hoffman and freshman Courtney Bergum remain the top two Warrior golfers, following up Saturday's matching 83s with equal rounds of 84 on Sunday. Hoffman and Bergum are in a tie for 12th place on the leaderboard at +23.
Marissa Geyer improved her second round by a stroke with an 86 as she sits in 28th place.
Freshman Jessica Blanchard finished with her second straight round of 88 for a tie for 33rd place, while Madelyn Miller shot a 90 for a tie for 37th.
As a team, the Warriors shot a 342 Sunday after an opening round 341 for a two round total of 683 (+107). WSU is 12 shots back of fifth place Southwest Minnesota State and has an 11 shot cushion between seventh place Upper Iowa.
The fall championship concludes the Warriors' fall portion of their season. The final 36 holes of the NSIC Championship will be played April 23-24 at Dacotah Ridge Golf Course in Morton, Minn.
