ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Warrior women's golf team finished their 2026 NCAA DII Central Regional tournament in 18th place.
After finishing the first round in 16th place, the Warriors fell back into 18th place in round two and round three placing them behind Wayne State and Augustana. Winona State finished the tournament with a team score of 995 (+131) and rounds of 331 (+43), 338 (+50), and 326 (+38), which put them behind Wayne State College who had a team card of 977 (+113) and Missouri Western at 976 (+112). The Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs took first place with a team score of 926 (+62) overtaking Nebraska Kearney who finished round three with a score of 928 (+64).
Lindsey Lund was the top placing Warrior at the event with rounds of 83 (+11), 83 (+11), and 81 (+9) which moved her to 74th overall, individually.
Georgia Volley and
Megan Young were next up for WSU with Volley rounding up cards of 82 (+10), 89 (+17) and 79 (+7). Young finished the event with scorecards of 83 (+11), 84 (+12), and 84 (+12) putting her at tied for 85th individually.
Finishing up the Warriors lineup for round three was
Kessa Mara and
Taylor LeMire. Mara finished the final round with a score card of 82 (+10) and a final placement of 90th individually. LeMire was a round three substitute for
Maeve McDougal and finished the final round with a card of 84 (+12).
The Warriors conclude their 2025-26 season with three top three finishes this season, along with their first NCAA Regional appearance since 2017.
