ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Winona State (4-1) fell 5-4 in a tough dual with Minnesota Duluth (5-4) on Saturday in St. Cloud. The Warriors had a 2-1 lead after doubles but could not hold it as the Bulldogs took four of the six singles matches.
Tayla Card and
Kendra Kappes won 8-3 and
Kaisey Skibba and
Rachel Gantz won 8-5 to put the Warriors up one after doubles.
Kappes would win 6-2, 6-4 in the number four spot in the lineup.
Katie Scruggs won in the number six spot with a 6-4, 6-4 decision.
The Warriors will try to get back on the right track tomorrow morning when they take on St. Cloud State at 9 a.m.
