MARYVILLE, Mo. – Winona State finished second in the 2017 MIAA vs NISC Showdown on Saturday.
Brittany Schyvinck,
Johnna Patterson,
Alexandra Hutchison and
Megan Seidl ran a 3:49.07 to win the 4x400 meter relay.
Erin Perkins won the hammer throw with a toss of 55.86 meters/183-03 feet.
Heather Buckler took first in the shot put with a toss of 13.96 meters/45-09.75 feet.
The Warriors took the top three spots in the hammer throw as
Nicole Nelson was second and
Kaitlyn Long was third. Winona State also took the top three spots in the shot put. Long was second and
Kathleen Taylor was third.
Megan Seidl ran 24.38 seconds in the 200 meters to finish second.
Brittany Schyvinck was fourth in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.18 seconds, fifth fastest in WSU history. Schyvinck also took fourth in the 200 meters in a time of 25.35 seconds.
Ali Johnson took second in the 800 meters in a time of 2:16.63. She was two spots above
Anna Rogahn who finished fifth.
Taylor Juresh was third in the javelin, marking at 37.69 meters/124-09 feet, sixth best in program history.
The 4x100 meter relay team finished third in a time of 47.26 seconds, the third fastest in WSU history.
The 4x400 meter relay time was fourth best in school history.
