WINONA, Minn. – Winona State track and field student-athletes Ella Voit and Lexi Urbick qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field championships in the 3000m steeplechase and 400m hurdles taking place in Emporia, Kan. on Thursday, May 21st through Saturday, May 23rd.

Voit, a sophomore from Sauk Rapids, Minn., had an impressive sophomore campaign. Voit was the 2026 NSIC champion in the 3000m steeplechase and set the new school record in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2026 Bryan Clay Invitational.

This year, Voit was first in the 3000m steeplechase at the UW-La Crosse Ashton May Invitational, 22nd in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2026 Bryan Clay Invitational, Voit was the fifth fastest Division II finisher with a time of 10:27.32, third in the 1500m at the Todd Pfingsten Open, first in the 3000m steeplechase and tenth in the 1500m at the NSIC Outdoor Championship.

Urbick, a freshman from Winona, Minn., had a record-breaking freshman year. Urbick broke and set new records in the 100m hurdles and the 400m hurdles this outdoor season. Urbick was the 2026 NSIC champion in the 400m hurdles with her record setting performance at the 2026 NSIC Outdoor Championships.

Urbick was recently named the 2026 NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Freshman of the Year. Urbick won the 2026 Outdoor NSIC Championship in the 400-meter hurdles in a career-best time of 59.00s. Urbick is ranked first in the Central Region and 11th nationally in the 400-meter hurdles. Urbick was also an integral part of the 2026 Outdoor NSIC Championship 4x400 Relay Team. She ranked 10th in the Central Region in the 100-meter hurdles. Urbick has won five individual races throughout her outdoor freshman campaign.

Voit is set to compete in the 3000m steeplechase prelims on Thursday, May 21st at 7:10pm, and the finals on Friday, May 22nd at 7:30pm. Urbick is set to compete in the preliminary 400m hurdles on Thursday, May 21st at 7:55pm with the finals on Saturday, May 23rd at 5:50pm.
