BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Winona State's
Lexi Urbick was named the NSIC Outdoor Track and Field 2026 Freshman of the Year.
Urbick had an impressive freshman campaign breaking multiple school records in the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles this outdoor season. Urbick won the 2026 Outdoor NSIC Championship in the 400-meter hurdles in a career-best time of 59.00s.
Urbick is ranked first in the Central Region and 11th nationally in the 400-meter hurdles. Urbick was also an integral part of the 2026 Outdoor NSIC Championship 4x400 Relay Team. Urbick is also ranked 10th in the Central Region in the 100-meter hurdles. She has won five individual races throughout her outdoor freshman campaign.
Urbick will be joined by teammate
Ella Voit as they compete at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships next week.
