EMPORIA, Kan. –
Ella Voit and
Lexi Urbick earned Second Team All-America status after finishing eleventh in the first round of the women's and 3000m steeplechase and ninth in the first round of the women's 400m hurdles respectively.
Voit, a sophomore from Sauk Rapids, Minn., capped off her sophomore campaign on the national stage at the NCAA Division II National Championships. Voit finished ninth overall in the NCAA Division II National Championships women's 3000m steeplechase, running a 10:35.80.
Urbick, a freshman from Winona, Minn., rounded out an impressive freshman year on the national stage as well. Urbick finished third in the third heat in the first round of the women's 400m hurdles, placing ninth overall. Urbick ran a 59.40s 400m hurdle.
This marks the second year in a row that a Warrior has earned All-America status as a freshman at the NCAA DII Outdoor Championships after
MacKenzie Wissbroecker did so last year.
