Box Score Fargo, N.D. -- The Winona State University women's tennis team opened up a two-match road trip today, taking on the Minnesota State - Moorhead Dragons on Saturday, February 20.
In doubles action, the Warriors earn the opening point, claiming wins at #2 and #3 slots to give Winona State a 1-0 lead. The momentum continue for WSU in the early stages of singles play, as
Rina Niehoff cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 win at #3 singles. Warrior teammate
Rachel Kelly was stretched in the first set by the Dragons Lorissa Yuem, but Kelly outlasted the MSU-M #2 singles player, 7-5, 6-4.
However, the gap closed as MSUM's Julia Geske bested Winona State's
