Winona, Minn. - The Winona State University women's golf team will take on several top NCAA Division II programs in Springfield, Mo. as they compete in the Central Region Preview, hosted by Upper Iowa University. The tournament begins tomorrow, Monday April 12 and concludes Tuesday, April 13.
Head coach Tiffany Yabut and her team will be attending their second-straight event hosted by UIU, as the Warriors took second place in an Peacock event held on April 2-3. The runner-up finish was the best showing to date for Winona State, and provides the team some momentum heading into the Central Region Preview held at the Twin Oaks Country Club.
Alexis Bell led the Warriors in the UIU tournament, earning a score of 166, while
Toni Baldwin was second for WSU with a two-day score of 167, just one stoke ahead of teammate
