BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Winona State University women's tennis team embarks on a weekend road trip to Bemidji, Minn. to take on Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston in NSIC action.

The Warriors will compete against BSU this evening, Feb. 18, at 6pm and then against UMC on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 10am. Both matches will be played in the Gillett Tennis Center in Bemidji.

Winona State (2-2, 1-1 NSIC) split their first weekend of NSIC play as they defeated Minnesota State University, Moorhead 7-0, and fell to UMary 3-4.

WSU and BSU last faced off on Feb. 28, 2021, when the Warriors defeated the Beavers convincingly, 6-1. Bemidji State is 3-3 overall and 1-3 within the NSIC this season, most recently falling to SMSU and Minnesota State last weekend.

Winona State has defeated Minnesota Crookston 12 straight times dating back to the 2009 season, and 11 of those matchups have been sweeps in favor of WSU. The Golden Eagles have dropped all four of their matches this season, each to NSIC foes.

The Warriors will look to earn two key NSIC victories on the road this weekend against the Beavers and Golden Eagles.
