OZARK, Mo. – The Winona State University baseball team wraps up their three-game series today against Drury University. The first pitch for the final game of the series is set for noon at U.S. Baseball Park.
The Warriors (0-5, 0-0 NSIC) have dropped the first two games of the series against the Panthers (6-0, 0-0 GLVC), but WSU will look to end the series on a high note and pick up their first win of the season.
On Saturday,
Cooper Kapanke and
Miller Wallace each drove in two RBIs but that wasn't enough as the Warriors earned just six total hits for their four runs, while giving up 16 runs to Drury's hot bats.
U.S. Baseball Park is the home for Drury University baseball and located in Ozark, Missouri. U.S. Baseball Park was originally built in 1999 and home to an independent minor league baseball team. It was vacant for nearly 10 years before it went through a $2 million renovation in 2015-16 that included the installation of an AstroTurf surface and a 37 foot by 48 foot LED videoboard in right field.
Drury is unbeaten in their 2022 season so far, having swept back-to-back doubleheaders against Fort Hays State last weekend along with wins over the Warriors the past two days.
