Warrior Game Day: Women's Tennis

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Winona State University tennis team hits the road for their final regular season road trip of 2022, as well as the final matches before the 2022 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Tennis Tournament.

The Warriors are riding a seven-match conference win streak and sit in second place within the NSIC with an 8-1 conference record. WSU will take on Sioux Falls (10-6, 5-3 NSIC) Friday, Apr. 8 at 7pm and league-leading No. 20 Augustana (15-1, 8-0 NSIC) Saturday, Apr. 9 at 6pm to close out the regular season.

Winona State has dominated in the doubles lineup this season, claiming the team doubles point in all but two matches, including all nine conference matches. Beth Murman and Sara Anderson lead the way as they are 14-0 overall and 9-0 in the NSIC at No. 2 doubles.

Each of the top four singles players for the Warriors have double-figure wins this season to combine for a 46-18 record, including a remarkable 29-7 record in league play.

WSU will look to end their regular season on a high note before they return to Sioux Falls, S.D. for the NSIC Tournament on Apr. 22-24.
