ST. PAUL, Minn - The Winona State University baseball team enters it's final regular season action today, Friday, May 6, traveling to Concordia, St. Paul for the first two contests of a three-game series against the Golden Bears.
Heading into the series, Winona State (13-21 / 11-12 NSIC) is currently seventh in the NSIC standings, with the top eight teams qualifying for postseason by the end of conference play on Saturday. CSP (17-25, 11-19 NSIC) is 12th and on a two-game losing streak.
Today's contests will feature a seven-inning opening contest, followed by a nine-inning affair. The two teams will play a single, nine-inning game on Saturday. Concordia, St. Paul took both contests from the Warriors in 2021, with the Golden Bears winning 11-10 and 13-6.

Carter Brinkman leads the team in batting average at .315 and total hits (39), while
Derek Baumgartner and

Caleb Strack, most often a middle-inning reliever, leads the team in appearances with 15.
Justin Firpo and
Peter Tveite both have two saves on the year for Winona State.
NSIC baseball fans will no doubt have their eyes on scores around the league, with over a dozen different scenarios unfolding across the conference in terms of playoff qualifiers. For the Warriors, every win will be important to be able to control their own postseason fate.
