WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State women's volleyball team traveled to Sioux Falls, S.D. for the second Thursday in a row, collecting a 3-0 sweep of the Cougars this week.
Heading into the match, Sioux Falls Univeristy and Winona State both held a 7-5 record in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play.

Set one:
The Warriors would see themselves down 3-0 early in the set with a service ace from Jordyn Hamm, but a quick response from Lydia Lange put the Warriors on the board. From there, the Warriors would respond with a plethora of points highlighted by a kill from Kenna Kornely to make the set 11-6 Warriors. Winona State would use that lead to win set one 25-21, ending with a kill from Sidney Paulson.
Set two:
Set two would being with both teams trading points back and forth with no team seeing a lead of more than two points until the Warriors would earn four straight points ending with kill from Sidney Paulson making it 11-7. Winona State would then extend the match to 19-10 with a service ace from Anna Hennessy. Taking set two would be the Warriors winning 25-18.
Set three:
The Warriors and Cougars would trade points early on before WSU extended the lead to six points with another kill coming from Kenna Kornely. Sioux Falls would fight their way back into the match making it the closest match of th three, ending in a 25-22 win for the Warriors.
Winona state 15-9 (8-5 NSIC) is next in action on Saturday, November 2 at 4pm, where they face off against Minnesota State, Mankato (15-6, 7-6 NSIC) inside McCown Gymnasium at home.
