MINOT, N.D. - The Winona State University women's volleyball team made the quick turnaround playing their second game in under 20 hours, earning the win in three sets against Minot State University. The Warriors were led by sophomores
Quinn Robak and
Jayda Berg offensively and on the defensive end
Gianna Vollrath and
Kylie Welch paced WSU.

Set one:
Winona State would begin the set on a 6-0 run highlighted by kills from
Sidney Paulson and
Gianna Vollrath. The Beavers would get on the board with a kill from Paulina Kowalska and trade back and forth with Winona State until the Warriors would go on a 5-0 run led by
Quinn Robak. WSU would not let up taking the first set 25-13.
Set two:
In set number two the Warriors would see an early 8-2 lead with a kill from Robak. The Beavers would respond with a couple points of their own, but Winona State was too much to handle going on a 10-0 run with Warriors

Set three:
The Beavers would strike first in set three with a kill from Bailee Brommenschenkel and the Warriors would battle early before an 11-0 run opened the door for WSU, making it 14-3 game with a kill by
Sophia Armstrong. The Marauders would capitalize on a few points, but the Warriors were too much to handle going on a 9-0 run to finish the match highlighted by a service ace from
Jaci Winchell and a kill from
Lydia Lange to end the set and match 25-9.
Winona State (10-7, 3-3 NSIC) is next in action on Tuesday, October 8 at 6pm where they face off against #6 Wayne State (11-2, 5-0 NSIC) at home, inside McCown Gymnasium.
