LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Winona State University women's track and field team competed at the 2024 UW-La Crosse Indoor Eagle Open in La Crosse, Wis. on Friday, February 16.
Running in the UWL Fieldhouse,
Bellamy Sukalski captured sixth place in the 800 meters, running the race in 2:23.20, just edging Loras College's Becca Diddla who ran 2:26.32, while Warrior teammate
Lainey Lipschultz took eighth overall in the 400 meters, clocking a time of 1:01.41. Also running in the sprints,
Danielle Saydee took fifth place in the 200 meters with a time of 26.52.
In the distance events, Winona State's
Billie Wagner and
Madeline Palmer finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 3000 meters. Wagner ran a time of 10:46.26 while Palmer produced a 10:48.26 effort.
Next up for Winona State will be the 2024 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Indoor Championships in Mankato, Minn set for on Feb. 23-24 in the Myers Field House.
