WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University track and field team ventures out to Minnesota State, Mankato to start the new year off at the Bearson/Gathje Classic in Mankato, Minn. The Bearson/Gathje Classic is set for a 2 p.m. start.
The Warriors last competed in Mankato, Minn. in the Chuck Peterson Open on December 7 where
Regan Feit earned a second place finish in the 400m race with a time of 58.28 and
MacKenzie Wissbroecker took home first place in the long jump, which broke the school record in her first collegiate meet with a distance of 5.77m. Several other Warriors that were highlighted in the Chuck Peterson Open such as
Hanna Reichenberger,
Stella Richter,
Caitlyn Casella, and
Alyssa Larson, who all look to place in their events this weekend.
Winona State looks to enter their 2025 portion of the season heading to Mankato, Minn. to compete against NSIC rivals, Minnesota Duluth, Concordia-St. Paul, and Minnesota State where Feit, Reichenberger, Richter, Casella, Larson and the rest of the Warriors look to place in their events and write their names in the record book.
