WARRIOR VOLLEYBALL LOSES 3-0 AGAINST THE #11 HUSKIES

WINONA, Minn. – WSU volleyball lost 3-0 in their home match against #11 St. Cloud State by scores of 25-21, 25-17, and 25-19.

Winona State seemed to control the pace of the Husky offense as St. Cloud State hit .203 from the field compared to the Warriors .149. Ultimately, WSU was outplayed in every statistic expect blocks, which would lead to the SCSU victory.

How it Happened:
During a competitive first set SCSU took an early lead of 10-7 after a team ace and a pair of WSU attack errors. Afterwards, there was no looking back for the Huskies as their lead would jump to as high as 20-14, winning the set 25-21.

The second was no different as the Warriors' offense would struggle, hitting only .054 and committing six attacking errors. St. Cloud State would take a lead as large as 15-6 and did not slow down, winning the set 25-17.

It was all Huskies in the third set as they held the Warriors to a 0.209 hitting percentage while hitting .234 themselves. SCSU took away any breath the Warriors could catch after never trailing after the first point of the set. St. Cloud State won the final set 25-19.
